Awesome job, brandon and conference team. It has been great being a small part of mwux12.
Welcome to the social networking site for Midwest UX. Use this network to find and connect with people at the conference.
Hi, my name is James. I am web developer of IQmango team, now we are working on free dvd copy software and we are interesting to join your conference. You can take a look at our IQmango DVD Burning software. You can see it ranks good on free DVD Burning software review site.
I can't believe Midwest UX is over. It was great getting to see old friends and meet some really interesting new folks. Thanks for making this effort completely worthwhile. I think the new production team has their work cut out, but I have faith Midwest UX 2013 will be outstanding. See you next year :)
Would love to get a compilation going of preso decks. Pls post any you have! Mgrocki Good morning campers. My deck from yesterday's Digital Hoarding talk is here https://t.co/AE1SBt4i #mwux12 #contentstrategy
All -
I can't be there but want to ask you - as a great ux candidate - what do you look at in a company?
Hi Bryce! Unfortunately no, Bryan has a photo shoot on Saturday. I think its been 5 years or more since we've seen you. I'll look for you tomorrow.
Hey Gretchen -- will we see Bryan hanging about mwux this weekend? Looking forward to your talk!
Follow me @tarungangwani ... big huge Twitter geek here so would love to get to know people on that medium. Cheers to a great conference! PS: Today's Sketchnote workshop was so coooooool! Thanks to Binaebi, Veronica, and Charlene for putting it together!
(ears perked up)
Any of you lovely UX folks doing HCI/Neuroscience related research in your work? I'd love to buy you a drink.
So who might be out and about for Saturday night? The Columbus Arts Fest will be in full swing, plus it's Gallery Hop Night up and down high street (Short North). Who wants to roam downtown Columbus with me?
If you're a local, where do you go to grub/drink/dine/misbehave? What are some local establishments/mom&pop shops serving up some good eats? Please don't tell me TGIFridays or Red Robin... Thx
Hey all, Due to some priority issues coming up, I have to give up the Responsive Design Workshop ticket that I bought. Anyone want in to that workshop that couldn't get in after it sold out?
If there's anything considered downtime, I'll lead an adventure to the best of Columbus' record stores. I usually return from Cbus with a few new LPs every visit.
Hello Midwest UXrs, I was hoping to meet a few of the folks attending the Hands On Responsive Web Design workshop next Thursday. Anybody want to fess up? Share a link to some RWD work that you've participated in? Cheers, Ben
I am scheduled to arrive in Columbus ~4:00PM Thursday and will be heading to the Westin hotel. Any takers to share a cab? feel free to @ DM me @dafark8 or email me at the same @gmail.com
I'm sure most everyone will be at workshops on Thursday morning, but if not, how about the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium? My travel buddy got super sick at the last moment, thus sending my itinerary into a tailspin. We were planning on visiting the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium on Thursday morning, and I'm still jonesing to go. But aren't zoos more fun with friends? http://www.colszoo.org/
So I tried a new place recently, and it was EXCELLENT and still a bit underground. Anyone up for trying The Explorers Club with me, Sunday morning? http://www.explorersclubmv.com/
Hey all Midwest UX'ers! I think there might be a few cost-savvy folks looking to coordinate a room share. If that is you, use Crowdvine to find your roommate! (there is an extra fee if you want me to vet/verify your potential roommate.) See you all soon!
Just wanted to double check and see if we could attend the $50 workshops without purchasing a $350 pass to the full conference? Does anyone know? Sounds like we'll get approval to send more people if we just did the workshops this year, but didn't want to assume we could get in without the full conference pass.
Spectacular speakers? Exciting events? Attractive attendees?
Yes, vinyl! My profile pic is me in front of a couple o' bookcases' full of records. Favorite album cover? Oh, so hard to separate the music from the art. Maybe Wire - "154" or The Chills "Submarine Bells." Both perfectly suited to the music inside.
Record collector?! As in: vinyl? I used to be a deejay, and my brother's been one for 30 years! What is your favorite album cover?
No particular decade for me - my knowledge is a bit spread out over time and genre, but by no means comprehensively. Trading Places is a funny movie!
Definitely! 80s movies are kind of my thing. Real Genius, Trading Places are a few I know by heart. You?
That movie quoting thing, yeah, I've got that affliction too. We should compare quotes.
Congrats on winning the "Toledoan discount"- http://instone.org/mwux-coupon
Can't wait! Thanks for organizing the panel. I'm looking forward to meeting you.
Looking forward to meeting you and hearing your thoughts at the Women in UX Panel!
